Overview
Crafting a calm and sophisticated skincare identity.
Élane was designed as a luxury skincare brand focused on simplicity, elegance, and self-care. The goal was to create a visual identity that communicates purity, sophistication, trust, and timeless beauty while standing out in the competitive premium skincare market.
The identity needed to feel minimal yet memorable, appealing to modern consumers who value high-quality skincare and refined aesthetics.
The Challenge
Timeless, not trendy.
Timeless over trendy
Design a skincare identity that ages with grace across a decade.
Minimal, yet luxurious
Balance restraint with the feeling of a high-end ritual.
Scales across formats
Legible on labels, packaging, social, and print.
Signals clean ingredients
Communicate purity, care, and trust at a glance.
Retail and digital shelves
Confident in a boutique and in a feed alike.
Brand Objectives
Four commitments.
01
Memorable luxury mark
A skincare identity that lodges in memory on first glance.
02
Calm, pure, sophisticated
Communicate stillness and clarity through every touchpoint.
03
Cohesive packaging
One system across primary, secondary, and refill formats.
04
Beauty-conscious appeal
Speak to modern consumers who value considered self-care.
Brand Strategy
Modern luxury for mindful beauty rituals.
Positioning
Modern luxury skincare for mindful beauty rituals, considered products for consumers who treat self-care as a daily practice.

- →Feminine
- →Timeless
Audience
Modern women and beauty-conscious consumers aged 25–40 who appreciate premium skincare, minimalist aesthetics, wellness, and thoughtful self-care experiences.
Logo Development
From first sketch to final construction.
The wordmark was drawn by hand, digitised, then tuned letter by letter. Spacing, alignment, and proportion were resolved on a strict grid, then optically corrected so that mathematically-equal spaces read as visually-equal.
Final Brand Identity
Quiet luxury, made legible.
The final identity communicates luxury through restraint. Balanced proportions, generous whitespace, and a considered wordmark carry the brand across every context, from a serum label to a shopfront window, without ever raising its voice.
Color & Typography
A restrained, editorial system.

Reflection
What I Learned
- →Beauty branding is emotional first. The identity has to make someone feel calm before they read a single word.
- →Restraint is the loudest signal of luxury. Every element removed made the system stronger, not smaller.
- →Consistency across packaging and marketing is what makes a brand feel real, one voice, one rhythm, one pace.
- →Elegance and commercial usability are the same conversation. If it can't sit on a shelf, it can't lead a category.
- →A timeless identity is a decade-long decision. Trends are shortcuts a luxury brand doesn't need.
